Volunteering

Community Sporting Clubs like ours are totally dependent on Volunteers. Volunteers are the life-blood of our Club and we simply would not survive and thrive without players, parents and others stepping up to help out. Tewantin-Noosa Cricket Club has no full-time paid staff.

Our Junior Teams rely on Volunteer Coaches, Managers, Umpires and Scorers. These roles are usually taken on by Parents who enjoy having a hands on participation in their child’s cricket journey. All volunteers in this age group are fully supported by the Junior sub-committee and can attend courses and workshops to obtain the skills necessary to be effective volunteers. We encourage and appreciate all parents being involved in some way by volunteering for these roles and all the other small things that go towards creating a great team experience. If you can help out with your child’s team then please let the team Coach or the Club know.

Senior Men's and Women’s Teams also rely on Volunteers. Players are expected to help out with umpiring as well as scoring, coaching, managing, setting up facilities on game day, removing covers etc. Even our Groundkeeping is undertaken by Volunteers.

If you have any skills or interest in helping out in any way then please make yourself known. Whether it is on the field, within teams, on a Committee, around the clubhouse and canteen, maintenance and repair or anything else, your time will be very much appreciated.
